Now that I have a garage space for a second I pulled Corey's truck in and did a few things to it. The visor went on it, still needs paint but it's on it. Also dropped the front end down 3 inches. Still has 2 more to go before it's where he wants it. Drop spindles will take care of that. Today Riggs came over and helped us yank off the bed so Corey could do some stuff to it.

Re: Corey's ?? Stepside Chevy

The slick red that was sprayed is going to have to come back off. I used a new fisheye remover in the paint and it did something to it. It won't dry. I use fisheye remover in all my paint but this was another brand that Corey picked up and I've never used it. I think that is what did it. The cab is now dry but has bad spots all in it, plus it's starting to check. Also there are a few spot I missed doing body work and when that wind storm came trhough, part of a house roof hit the fender. I'm afraid to sand it down and go over it in case it comes through the new paint. So this spring or summer the cab will have to be stripped bare and more body work. The truck looks so bad with multi colors so we figured we would paint the bed red. Since the cab looked like crap we are just going to sand it down in a few spots and then wet sand it. Giving it that weathered or aged look. Can't hurt it any..

Last night I shot the red paint minus the fisheye remover on the bed. This morning the bed was dry enough to flip on it's end to cut the brace out 1 inch to let the bed sit all the way on the frame. The raised shackles was hitting it. I ran a razor over the body lines to start the aged look. I'm not feeling too good today so I left Corey out there to finish sanding on it. It was wierd to have a very glossy paint job and take sand paper to it. lol

Sami, thinking of what your going to do is easier than accually doing it. Because everything that you do to a car cost money ,and sometimes the things you think you can do you cant because sometimes you have to make sacrafices. But thats not my car its yours. :star: and yea that was preety funny also when he was trying to say card but what he said was car..d and we all laughed for about an hour after that one I think he was stoned from the paint fumes.

We got the bed back on it ,and painted it all one color so the cops might leave us alone ,and that picture was taken after I did some wet sanding on the bed so it didnt look so bad.

It does look good. Very good. I also like the ride look that you guys have accomplished! Very cool way to go about it and I would say very successful! So um...Cory... you seem pretty good at sanding... ya think you could give me a hand??? How much you charge? bounce

I think the truck looks real good. But tell me, is there a reason for the front rims being red and the rear rims being chrome?Question And is the visor and the hood a different color?

The visor hasn't been painted yet and the rear tire will cost him a little over $100.00 to get. He doesn't have the money for tires so the mix match wheels are on there till he can get the money to buy 'em. After he gets tires he will mount them on the rims that he got from Heath. Same as the front but wider.

Even with the paint mask, he must've gotten too much paint fumes. It was a very funny uno game!
